the one celebrating sweet baby boy

On Thursday night, we got to celebrate a sweet baby boy coming home soon!! As you may remember, sweet baby boy was born at 26 weeks in November. (See original posts on him here and here) We've been praying for this precious little boy and his family all these weeks since then. And it looks like he is finally coming home!!! He's expected to head home in the next 2 weeks sometime!

This sweet boy's momma and I work together and it's been such a blessing to walk alongside her and her husband as they care for and love their little baby, even through a very difficult situation. The greatest blessing has been to watch them believe God's goodness and faithfulness and worship Him in the midst of trials and pain. It's beautiful to encounter.

Some awesome ladies from our office put together a beautiful shower for the family. It was so special and exciting!

Yep those are baby elephants. The cutest thing I've ever seen.

Awesome idea to all sign a picture frame with notes for the baby!

The momma wrote some notes of special milestones in the baby's life so far, as well as so many sweet and beautiful pictures from the NICU with his parents! The coolest thing was to hold up his footprints from when he was firstborn to now - he is so much bigger! He is over 4 lbs now!

There were so many sweet friends at the shower, including this sweet little girl! Thanks Ethan & Ashley for letting me hold your sweet little Nora!

Opening little teensy baby clothes! :)

Some of the crowd! Another little cutie - Calliah Grace :)

My sweet co-workers that are MOMMAs now!!! :)

All the office ladies! So blessed!

We are so excited for you, sweet family! Thank you for showing us how to walk in faith through pain and trials. We are rejoicing with you! God is so good!

Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
