the one with (more!) organization

In case you thought I was joking about getting organized this past weekend, I have another (!) organization post...but just so I dont get bored when I look back on Feb 2k12, I also have a teensy craft.

I tackled the white desk of clutter. This little desk is my favorite Craigslist purchase of all time. It's a world market desk and I got it for $60 (!). I bought it the summer after I graduated college. It is in amazing shape and soooo pretty. It will live wherever I do for many years to come :)

Here's the last time you saw it

Whoa buddy. That's what I'm talking about! So much clutter!!! Lotssss of mail, random sports equipment and my first pinterest craft looming over it all :)

Now... check 'er out!

I got rid of so much stuff. There is still a little project on the side - a little 3 drawer thingy that Rob is gonna try to fix. But I got rid of all the athletic stuff and filed all of our mail!

You can now access our mail slots!

Everything has a place now. One drawer is for coupons and gift cards. One drawer is for batteries, glue, and tape. The basket on top is for scraps of paper and post-its!

And now for a little craft. I've been wanting to do this for awhile and I'm so glad I finally did. It was super easy!

I saw this craft on pinterest:

And decided to do a WAY simpler, less pretty version :) I made a little book with all of our cards from our wedding! It's so special to look back through them and have them all in the same place.

And there's my teensiest "craft" (if you can even call it that).

Today we are on our way to Kansas!! Every three years, FCA hosts all the staff across the nation in Kansas for a long weekend! All expenses are paid and it's supposedly a great time for everyone to worship together, relax, and get refreshed. This is our first time going and this is my first time to Kansas! I am so excited :)
